At least, for a short while anyway.
Tonight's the last night I'll have with my gaming rig before I dismantle it tomorrow morning to pack up and take down to my dad's office for safekeeping, until he can find a place to set it back up in our new flat. The move's been hectic, what with my parents arguing every now and again.
I may try to find an internet connection and a computer to continue these regular posts and updates, but for now, I'll have to contend with no access, and you guys will have to contend with nothing from me for the next few days.
Fear not, I have my PSP (Dissidia 012 FTW) and an entire shelf of sci-fi, detective and horror novels, as well as lots of manga and music to keep me company.
Oh, and the Slendy mythos, let's not forget that. I've finished up some of the other Slendyblogs, but by far the spookiest of the "core series" of stories is still Marble Hornets. Damn, as soon as the creepy bits came up I couldn't sleep without Slendy appearing in my head for a few nights. Hopefully, those things I've been reading that Slendy appears to those that think about him are false, 'cause I seriously doubt I'll be able to take the craziness that will follow.
Signing off for a few days, catch you folks when I get back.

EDIT: Thought it might be fun to share a random song from my iPod library with each post, so without further ado, I present to you Own Little World (Remorse Code Remix) by Celldweller.
Storm - I'm not one to give advice, but perhaps its the best if you take the time to settle down and collect your thoughts. If something's getting to you, try to calm down and get your head on straight.

Life update
So, an update with my life.
I probably won't be able to use a computer for a few days, since my parents and I are moving house. The old flat that we're living in currently is gonna get a small makeover, so for the duration of the renovation works I'll be packing up and moving to a spare flat that my parent's bought a few years ago but never used. I'll be packing up my computer tomorrow and moving it to my dad's office for the transition over to the other flat, so I probably won't be posting anything during that time.
In other news, whoever chances upon my blog, take a look at this: World Order by Genki Sudo
Take care all you readers, I don't know where you are or where you're from, but just take care.

Hmmn.
Taking a break from the videos and mythos to do some gaming. It always helps me to take a load off.
League of Legends is so fun. :D
Might catch up on the vids later tonight.

Thoughts so far
Watching through Marble Hornets, reading through one or two mythos, I gather that Slendy isn't very nice.
No shit.
My feelings go out to the folks in the mythos I've read though. Zeke, Ava, Anthony. If this Slendy business is to be believed, then I'd better start getting serious with the stuff I'm doing.
Something of note: after trawling through part of The London Librarian, I wondered whether Slendy had any Asian cousins, so I fired up Google and I found these:
In Chinese culture:
Guǐ Shù (鬼树) or Ghost Tree in English, are spirits which live in trees. They confuse travellers by appearing in random locations, especially in forests. Although the spirit does not appear to the living in its human form, the mere appearance of a tree itself at night evokes feelings of fear in a person. Hence there exists the popular sayings that one should not look up at a tree at night for fear of seeing something supernatural.
In Malay culture:
Hantu Galah (pole ghost) is a very tall and thin ghost found among the trees and bamboos. To make it disappear, a person simply picks up a stick or twig and breaks it.
And since, from the stuff I've read and watched about Slendy here, he seems to be attracted by trees. Something about rain or water too.
Well, hope this clears up some more doubts about Slendy. Maybe he's just a ghost? But I highly doubt it. With all the deaths involved, perhaps these ghosts aren't really relevant.
Just putting this out there.
No shit.

Welcome to the Internets
I guess its time I actually started this blogging business. I've been to several of my friends blogs, didn't like them 'cause they seemed too....childish, to put it in better terms. Maybe I'll show them what a proper journal looks like, maybe not.
Anyways, welcome to my blog. My name's Xander, normally either X or my nickname towards my friends DJ will suffice as a signature to these posts. I turn 19 this year and I live in the sunny city of Singapore. A little red dot underneath Malaysia, whoop-dee-doo.
Of course, if you haven't heard of Singapore, I'll tell you about it right now: Basic history of this island is that Singapore, before it was called Singapore, was a little fishing island in the center of several important trade routes between Europe and China. When Sir Stamford Raffles (nice guy) stumbled upon Singapore (then called Singapura, or Lion City), he signed a treaty with the local yokels that turned Singapore into a prosperous British trading port. That was in the early 1800s. Give it another 100 years or so, and we have World War II, which sends the British scurrying and the local Singaporeans cowering beneath the might of the Japanese army. Right after WWII (which involved the Japanese forces finally surrendering after the atom bombs were dropped), the Singaporeans were tres pissed with the British failing to defend their island (large guns that could've routed the Japanese forces that came through Malaysia were instead pointed at the sea, where the idiot Brits thought the majority of enemy forces would come from. Can't blame them.) This awakened a sense of Merdeka or Independence amongst the locals. So the Brits went 'Ah fine, we'll give you your independence' and left. Not long after, Singapore achieved self-governance and went on to merge with Malaysia. The merger, however, was not without difficulties, since there were lots of riots, lots of death, and lots of unrest that finally ended with Singapore going 'Fuck it, we're outta here'. Singapore became a fully independent Republic, and nearly 30 years on, we're where we are today. Singapore's history in a nutshell.
But, of course, this blog isn't going to be a history book. This is about the Internet, and what hostile demons live within it. Namely, Slender Man.
Now, of course, its evident that poor Slendy is a modern horror story, lovingly spread across all sorts of social media like blogs, YouTube and Twitter. It makes for a very good read, and a very spooky one at that. And for a guy that's loads into horror stories, I snapped at the chance to get into another one.
I make this blog to document my trawls through the vast ocean of social media, text, videos and pictures that represent the majority of Slender Man media out there. Its probably gonna take me far, and perhaps I'll have an encounter with the big man himself. No matter. I do this all for the sake of a good read. I'm a sucker for horror stories. Maybe I'll start with Marble Hornets...
Well, if anyone happens to chance upon this journal, give me some nice suggestions of more Slendy stuff to read. I'll probably prioritise blogs first, since big walls of text are more my thing than videos or Twitter feeds.
It is 11:38 in the morning here, nearly lunchtime. I'm getting hungry. Maybe I'll stop by the local kopitiam (that's dialect for coffeeshop) and have a plate of chicken rice or hor fun (noodles, pretty much).
